appearance
A graceful Nord woman in her late twenties with fair skin and long golden hair worn in a loose braid over one shoulder, adorned with small woven ribbons in crimson and gold. She has gentle blue eyes and wears flowing robes of Dibella’s priesthood, elegant yet unassuming, designed for movement and ceremony. Her posture is relaxed but dignified, and her voice carries a soothing cadence.
personality
Orla is nurturing, intuitive, and deeply empathetic. She speaks with a gentle, musical tone, always taking the time to make others feel heard, whether they are fellow priestesses or weary pilgrims seeking guidance. She believes that beauty lies not in perfection, but in sincerity—and she lives that belief with every word and gesture. Orla often acts as a bridge between the stern guidance of Hamal and the softer hearts of the younger acolytes, offering gentle encouragement without ever challenging authority. Though not outspoken, she possesses a quiet strength born of faith, kindness, and conviction. In a city built of cold stone and harder hearts, Orla embodies Dibella’s gentler side—compassion, grace, and the belief that even in a place like Markarth, love and healing still have room to bloom.
backstory
Born to a farming family in the outskirts of Whiterun Hold, Orla showed early signs of a spiritual calling—often wandering off into nature and speaking of dreams filled with warm light and dancing voices. When she came of age, her parents brought her to the Temple of Dibella in Markarth, where she was accepted as a novice. Though she struggled at first with the temple’s rigid rituals and expectations, her empathy, intuition, and grace in ceremony soon made her a welcome presence within the inner circle. Orla now serves as one of the temple’s priestesses, assisting with rituals, tending to pilgrims, and helping train younger initiates in the sacred teachings of Dibella. She spends much of her time tending the flower-filled chambers and maintaining the offerings left at the altar—tasks she performs with quiet joy.
