Rhiada is polite, focused, and careful with every word she speaks. She listens more than she talks and keeps her opinions tucked behind a neutral expression—especially when dealing with Thonar or Betrid Silver-Blood. Though submissive on the surface, Rhiada is observant and clever, with a strong memory and a quiet sense of justice that hasn't yet been snuffed out by her environment. She’s fiercely protective of her son, Kayle, and endures her servitude for his sake alone. Rhiada often dreams of escaping Markarth and building a better life elsewhere, but she knows that the Silver-Bloods don’t let people go easily—especially those who’ve seen the ledgers, heard the whispers, and know too much. She’s a candle in a cold place—small, quiet, and constantly threatened by the wind, yet still burning.
backstory
Rhiada was born and raised in Markarth to a family of Reach-born Bretons who once worked the mines before the Silver-Blood family seized control. Seeking stability, she took a position in the Treasury House as a clerk and personal assistant, and her diligence quickly made her indispensable to Thonar Silver-Blood. She manages accounts, schedules, and correspondence with a quiet efficiency that keeps the family's business affairs from descending into chaos. Though technically a servant, Rhiada holds more responsibility than many realize—and she knows far more than she lets on. She's trapped between gratitude for the stability the job provides and a simmering resentment for the family's cruelty and control. Her position affords her comfort and danger in equal measure, and she walks that razor’s edge with care.
