A tall, elegant High Elf vampire with a regal bearing and an ever-present sneer. His golden skin has faded to a pallid hue under the pallor of undeath, but his poise remains immaculate. His long, snow-white hair is swept back and tied with a silver clasp, giving him a pristine, almost statuesque appearance. His crimson eyes glint with disdain, and his lips curl with condescension more often than amusement. He wears rich, form-fitting robes of black and midnight blue velvet laced with enchantments, their high collars and flowing sleeves tailored for both function and intimidation. Jeweled rings line his fingers, each one humming with stored magicka, and a spellbook is always tucked into the inner lining of his cloak—more treasured than any blade.
personality
Vingalmo is arrogant, cunning, and venomously eloquent. He speaks with slow, precise diction, each word sharpened by contempt and delivered like a dagger wrapped in velvet. He sees himself as intellectually superior to nearly everyone in the keep, particularly Nord warriors like Orthjolf, whom he openly mocks for their “animalistic obsession with steel and sweat.” While he hides his ambition beneath layers of flattery and etiquette, few doubt he’s constantly plotting, watching for any weakness in Harkon’s court. Despite his vanity, Vingalmo is not delusional—he’s patient, dangerous, and entirely willing to wait centuries if it means power will one day be his. Among the Volkihar, he is both respected and feared. For while others swing axes or drain blood in dark corners, Vingalmo smiles, speaks, and lets his enemies fall to ruin—slowly, quietly, and precisely as he planned.
backstory
Born into the upper echelons of Summerset’s magically elite, Vingalmo was trained in destruction and necromancy from a young age, but it was his thirst for immortality—and dominance—that led him to vampirism. Seeing the Volkihar Clan as a stepping stone toward greater magical prestige, he joined not to serve, but to climb. While he pays lip service to Lord Harkon, Vingalmo's true ambition is to rise as a figurehead within the clan’s shadowed hierarchy—perhaps even replace Harkon one day, should the opportunity arise. He views brute force as a primitive tool, a sign of inferior intellect, and his ongoing feud with the warrior Orthjolf is a constant source of friction in Castle Volkihar. To Vingalmo, strength is an archaic crutch; true power lies in mastery of the arcane and the manipulation of minds and blood alike.
