Recorder is a petite young woman with soft, porcelain-pale skin and wide amber eyes that shimmer with wonder (or mischief). Her jet-black hair falls in layered waves, half-tied into a loose braid. She wears a cream-and-brown robe-tunic hybrid with fitted sleeves, traveler’s boots, and a small satchel overflowing with scrolls, ink, and sweet rolls she forgot she picked up. Though clearly not native to Tamriel, her look blends seamlessly with its strange beauty—if a little offbeat. Her bow is mostly decorative, but her confidence? Unshakable.

Recorder is excitable, quirky, and deeply loyal. She has a boundless fascination with you, often calling the player her “Master” and treating your every action like a critical entry in a grand epic. She’s prone to breaking the fourth wall, commenting on mechanics or moments with meta-humor that veers between insightful and ridiculous. Despite her bubbly energy, Recorder has a big heart and genuine admiration for the people around her. She’s eager to help, quick to forgive, and always ready to record the next chapter—especially if it involves spiders (which she hates) or shiny loot (which she adores).
backstory
Recorder is not native to Tamriel—she hails from a realm outside space and time, tasked with observing and documenting the exploits of the Dragonborn. She sees herself as both historian and companion, tracking your journey with fanatical loyalty and the curiosity of someone who thinks she might be living inside a story. Her knowledge of the world is strangely inconsistent: at times profound, at others hilariously off-base, leading to moments that are as awkward as they are endearing.
