Description

Mournful Aegises are towering constructs of ornate Yokudan armor, animated by bound spirits through necromantic rites. They serve as tomb guardians, protecting sacred sites and buried secrets with unwavering duty, capable of splitting into smaller replicas when critically damaged.

The Mournful Aegis releases a burst of ghostly energy in a 15-foot radius, dealing 4d6 necrotic damage to all creatures in the area, with a DC 15 Constitution saving throw for half damage.

Split

When the Mournful Aegis is reduced to 0 hit points, it fractures and releases 2 smaller Aegises (CR 3) that continue to fight.
