Description

Shades are formless, shadowy entities driven by an insatiable hunger for souls and warmth. They manifest as vaguely humanoid figures composed of thick, churning darkness, constantly warping and shifting, with glowing cores that hint at the corrupt energies sustaining them.

Shadow Strike

The Shade can move through shadows and make a melee attack against a creature within 5 feet. On a hit, the target takes 14 (2d10 + 3) slashing damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be grappled.

Soul Drain

The Shade targets one creature it can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 27 (6d8) necrotic damage, and the Shade regains hit points equal to the damage dealt.
