Despite its commercial success, the meadery is not without its secrets; hidden notes hint at employee dissatisfaction, and a locked chest in the cellar—accessible only with a specific key—suggests deeper intrigues. With its ties to the Thieves Guild and Maven's pervasive influence, the Black-Briar Meadery is more than just a place of business—it's a symbol of power and control in Riften.
