Description

Buried beneath centuries of stone and secrecy, the Volkihar Ruins are a network of decaying side passages and long-forgotten corridors that wind beneath the castle’s foundations. The architecture is older than the rest of the keep—rough-hewn and cold, with moss-covered walls and collapsed archways that hint at a lost era. Echoes travel strangely here, and the air is laced with damp stone, mildew, and the faintest trace of blood. Hidden levers and illusion-shrouded doors open paths to sealed chambers, crypts, and even forgotten escape routes leading to the sea. The ruins are sparsely patrolled, infested with vermin and the restless undead. Some say the walls themselves are cursed, murmuring with the regrets of those who once plotted in shadowed corners. For the bold or the desperate, these halls offer a backdoor into the heart of Castle Volkihar—or a tomb, if caution fails.
