Description
Named for the great eagle said to have nested on the village hall during its founding, the Roosting Crown is a cozy, timber-framed tavern adorned with feathered charms, carved beams, and eagle motifs. Run by the cheerful widow Anisse Laroque, it serves hearty stews, local berry wine, and roasted river trout. Travelers find easy camaraderie here, and the backroom hosts informal town councils—and, at times, secret meetings concerning strange dreams and missing livestock.
