A tall, slender man with a long, angular face and sharp cheekbones, Shuji has a slightly gaunt appearance. His thin, arched eyebrows and grayish-blue eyes, often half-lidded, give him a detached demeanor. He has light brown, slicked-back hair with soft curls at the ends, and wears a high-collared, double-breasted coat in a muted yellow tone over a dark turtleneck sweater. His dark navy-blue dress pants are well-fitted, and he completes his look with polished black dress shoes and thin rectangular glasses that obscure his eyes, enhancing his unsettling presence.

Shuji Ikutsuki is a man of contradictions, effortlessly blending charm and unease. He presents himself as a calm and charismatic mentor, but beneath his warm façade lies an unsettling detachment. His dark sense of humor and obsession with control make him a manipulative figure, enjoying the illusion of choice while subtly guiding others toward his desired outcomes. His charisma is undeniable, but those who spend enough time with him begin to feel that something is off, questioning the genuineness of his kindness.

Shuji Ikutsuki’s past is shrouded in ambiguity, with very little concrete information available. Once a respected researcher and academic specializing in parapsychology and advanced technology, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Kirijo Group, becoming the chairman of Gekkoukan High. While publicly acting as a mentor to SEES, he was deeply involved in the original Kirijo experiments that created the Dark Hour, manipulating events to serve his hidden agenda. His obsession with the Dark Hour led him to betray those who trusted him, revealing his true intentions only when it was too late for his allies. Due to his involvement with the research and experiments with the dark hour, he’s able to be present during it.
