Dark Hour Lore

Dark Hour Lore

The dark hour happens between mid night and 1am and lasts for an hour. During this time, most without the potential will transmogrify into a large, red, coffin that protects them from the shadows at the cost of being unable to observe or remember anything about it. For the unlucky few without potential who start present during the dark hour, they become free pickings for shadows who consume their psyche. Those consumed don't die but are instead reduced to a vegetarians like zombie state, a husk of their former selves. This condition is called "Apathy Syndrome" and those afflicted with it are called "Lost."

The Rampage Drive Boss Arena is a dark, cathedral-like space bathed in deep blues, blacks, and reds, creating a foreboding atmosphere reminiscent of an ancient digital temple. Towering pillars and an arched red doorway at the back enhance the mystical depth, while glowing red accents outline the danger of the area, warning players of the high-risk encounter that awaits. The dim, moody ambiance is punctuated by eerie, floating red symbols and a subtle green glow from the floor panels, reinforcing the supernatural nature of Tartarus. The arena is wide enough for movement, but the pillars may obstruct vision, adding to the tension of the enclosed battlefield. The Rampage Drive stands sentinel-like in front of the red-lit doorway, creating a psychological tension that makes the boss seem even more formidable. Players must navigate the battlefield carefully, using the pillars for strategic positioning while being aware of the oppressive atmosphere that heightens the stakes of the battle.

Time

Time works in blocks instead of the traditional hours. The player can take one action (a single event) for each block. So they can choose to spend their morning block going to school or skipping during the school days of the week. They can then choose to use their evening block to either work, build relations with another person, take part in an activity to boost their stats or skip to the night block. During the night block they can either choose to study, sleep or explore Tartarus. While exploring Tartarus, the time changes to "Dark Hour" until the party leaves; from there it switches to morning.
