Sword Coast Adventures (Formerly Waterdeep)

T
Tome64

The Sword Coast brought to life! Designed for narrative-rich, experiences, in a detailed world.

Author's Note: Welcome to The Sword Coast! Formerly just Waterdeep, The City of Splendors, but now expanded to include wider portion of the Forgotten Realms in a more focused experience that is somewhat based on canon lore, More updates are coming, so sync often. Roadmap and recent updates are listed below at the end. You can join the Friends and Fables Discord in #Waterdeep: The City of Splendors for feedback, discussion, or suggestions. This is an adaptation of The Sword Coast, the most iconic reigon in the Forgotten Realms. Meaning there are some changes made to canon lore, but things are close enough to still be familiar. Some changes made are minor and some major, see for yourself or even go in and make changes of your own! The design is made with plans to support both Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage, as well as other modules and other adventures lying in wait for you to explore. Right now a good deal of Dragon Heist is prepared, ready to get you started if you wish. Ultimately, you’re free to explore at your own pace and do as you please. The world is your's to shape if you choose, otherwise there plenty of do and experience in the not so Empty Lands of western Faerûn. (Plans to expand the outer planes and even Kara-tur at some point.) This is meant as a way to learn or enjoy Dungeons & Dragons and not to replace the original experience. Nothing replaces the experience of a real table, a real Dungeon Master, and a group of friends. If this inspires you, support the official releases and pick up the books! Even if you never play in person they're nice to own and use for reference. Dreadful Glare

The mummy targets one creature it can see within 60 ft. of it. If the target can see the mummy, it must succeed on a DC 11 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or become frightened until the end of the mummy's next turn. If the target fails the saving throw by 5 or more, it is also paralyzed for the same duration. A target that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to the Dreadful Glare of all mummies (but not mummy lords) for the next 24 hours.

Multiattack

The mummy can use its Dreadful Glare and makes one attack with its rotting fist.

Rotting Fist

Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 10 (3d6) necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with mummy rot. The cursed target can't regain hit points, and its hit point maximum decreases by 10 (3d6) for every 24 hours that elapse. If the curse reduces the target's hit point maximum to 0, the target dies, and its body turns to dust. The curse lasts until removed by the remove curse spell or other magic.
