What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. Description

Byndraeth Tower stands tall in Waterdeep's North Ward, a striking structure of dark stone and intricate carvings. This residence belongs to Brianne Byndraeth, a secretive Masked Lord of Waterdeep, whose identity is known only to a select few. The tower is adorned with magical wards and hidden passages, reflecting Brianne's sorcerous prowess. Inside, the decor is lavish yet understated, with a blend of elegance and arcane artifacts. Brianne, known for her chaotic good nature, uses her position to gather intelligence while maintaining the facade of a respectable widow. The tower serves as both a home and a hub for her clandestine activities, where she navigates the treacherous waters of Waterdeep's politics and her tumultuous past with her late husband, Carril Byndraeth.

Appearance

Byndraeth Tower rises from the cobbled streets in stark contrast to its surroundings—its dark stone façade etched with swirling arcane runes that shimmer faintly at dusk. Slender windows glint behind wrought iron latticework, while a narrow balcony overlooks the lane like a watchful eye. Ivy coils up the lower walls, trimmed to avoid obscuring embedded ward-stones. A polished brass knocker shaped like a masked face marks the heavy oaken front door.
