Fables in the Forgotten Realms

T
Tome64

The Forgotten Realms brought to life! Designed for narrative-rich experiences in the Forgotten Realms setting of Faerun's Sword Coast. While the main focus of the world is Waterdeep, locations throughout the Sword Coast and outer planes are available as well! Including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, The Moonsea, The Outerplanes, and more! What was once a single city has now expanded to most of Faerun in this High Fantasy adventure of magic, technology, and secrets to uncover!

Author's Note: Welcome to The Forgotten Realms Step into one of the most iconic and richly storied worlds in Tabletop, The Forgotten Realms! Now expanded and reimagined for deeper exploration and immersive play. Waterdeep: The City of Splendors is your main gateway to the other famous Sword Coast locations like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, the Moonsea Region, and even the distant reaches of the Outer Planes. While Waterdeep remains the heart of the experience, its surrounding territories are available for those bold enough to venture beyond the city walls. This adaptation builds upon official Forgotten Realms lore, but introduces both minor and major changes to support a more engaging and open-ended campaign. For example, the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 are playable, but have been recontextualized to exist in Waterdeep rather than Baldur’s Gate. Content is designed for compatibility with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and a host of original plot hooks waiting to be uncovered across the city’s alleys, taverns, towers, and catacombs. You’re free to explore at your own pace, shape the world as you see fit, or lose yourself in the layered politics, mysteries, and magic of the world. This is not a replacement for a traditional tabletop game—it’s a love letter to it. Dedicated to anyone who struggles to find a group and is itching to play. If you enjoy what’s inside, consider supporting the official Dungeons & Dragons books. They remain an invaluable resource for players and storytellers alike—and they make excellent collectibles. Description

Amcathra Villa, nestled in the North Ward of Waterdeep, features two prominent buildings within its fortified walls. The main structure towers four stories high, overshadowing the two-story secondary building. This noble estate belongs to House Amcathra, a distinguished family known for their exceptional sword-forging and wine trade. Their crest—a shield emblazoned with a red field, light blue flames, and silver stars—symbolizes their legacy. The family motto, 'We trample our troubles,' reflects their resilience. Active patrons of the Vintners', Distillers', & Brewers' Guild, as well as the Splendid Order of Armorers, Locksmiths, and Finesmiths, the Amcathras maintain a reputation for quality craftsmanship. The house comprises 17 members, with Lord Arilos at the helm, navigating challenges from rival houses while seeking to uphold their esteemed legacy. They have recently made a trade agreement to supply the Harpers with their blades.

Appearance

Amcathra Villa rises behind high stone walls, its red-roofed main hall casting long shadows over a manicured courtyard. Crest-bearing banners ripple from wrought iron balconies, and stained-glass windows catch the morning sun in hues of flame and silver. The forge outbuilding releases faint curls of smoke, the ring of hammer on steel echoing through trimmed hedgerows. Vines creep up the villa’s stone façade, framing the estate in quiet dignity and storied wealth.
