The deeper tunnels host unspeakable horrors, released to feast on those who resist. Thorne's fortress, the Citadel of Broken Faith, stands at the mine's entrance, its walls adorned with the desecrated relics of fallen holy orders. The Pit of Redemption, a gladiatorial arena, forces captured paladins to fight, with the "victor" joining Thorne's Hollowed guard. Poisonous gases seep from fissures, slowly corrupting miners' bodies and minds. In the lowest depths, Thorne conducts dark rituals, attempting to forge a weapon capable of slaying the goddess herself.
