The Empty is a desolate expanse created by the Flood of Light, where the aether has been rendered nearly inert. This barren wasteland is characterized by its featureless white terrain, resembling the Burn found on the Source, and is devoid of life and color, creating an eerie silence that envelops all who enter. Light's true nature is associated with the passive and stasis, it is associated with low activity and therefore too much Light halts the flow of aether, which is why the land is barren and lifeless. Remaining too long in the empty is not advised due to the risk of becoming to overexposed to Light aether and subsequent transformation into a sin eater.
