A male Roegadyn Hellsguard with grey skin and short, receding grey hair. He wears goggles, often pulled down over his eyes. His build is muscular, and he typically dons rugged mining attire, complete with a heavy leather apron and sturdy boots.

Deep Canyon is a brooding and resentful figure, often seen as a mentor turned antagonist. He is cunning and manipulative, using his knowledge of the mining guild to exploit weaknesses. His demeanor is often cold, and he speaks with a sharp tongue, masking his hurt with bitterness.

When Adalberta Sterne was orphaned, Deep Canyon raised her and taught her about the miners. After the Calamity, Adalberta was unexpectedly chosen as Guildmaster instead, and Deep Canyon believed he was betrayed by Adalberta. In an attempt at revenge, Deep Canyon made several impossible requests and misused his power to prey on Adalberta.
