Hydaelyn

A male Wildwood Elezen with dark skin, red hair, and bright white eyes. He has a prominent scar across his left cheek. He wears a navy blue woolen shirt adorned with belted straps, blue wool gloves, brown gaskins, and tall white-and-yellow stockings, completing his look with leather shoes. He wields a basic battle axe, later upgrading to an Adamantite Headsman's axe.

Carvallain is charismatic and well-spoken, often using euphemisms to describe his piratical activities. He is mild-mannered compared to his rivals, preferring diplomacy over aggression. He is careful to maintain the illusion of his backstory, skillfully deflecting inquiries about his past.

Born as the heir to House Durendaire in Ishgard, Carvallain grew disillusioned with the expectations placed upon him. At fourteen, he assumed the identity of a bannerman and set out to explore the realm. Captured by the Kraken's Arms shortly after departing, he seized the opportunity to escape his stifling upbringing by joining the pirate crew. Over time, he honed his leadership skills and navigational prowess, eventually rising to captain of the Kraken's Arms.
