Description
Black Mages are casters who wield destructive spells, drawing power from the ambient aether to fuel their destructive power. Developed over 1500 years ago by a sorceress names Shattoto, the Mhach used this power to establish an empire. In a war known as the war of the magi, the overuse of black and white magic drained the land of aether and triggered a great flood known as the sixth umbral calamity. This has led black magic to be forbidden in modern times.
