Description
The Apkallu is a unique aquatic bird native to the coastal regions of Vylbrand, known for its remarkable swimming abilities and nurturing behavior. It can suppress its digestive acids to transport food for its young, but when threatened, it can unleash a caustic spray to defend itself.

Caustic Spray
As a reaction when threatened, the Apkallu can vomit its caustic digestive acids in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d6 acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Flying Sardine
The Apkallu regurgitates a sardine as a projectile, making a ranged attack against a target within 30 feet. On a hit, the target takes 1d4 piercing damage and must succeed on a DC 8 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
