Description

The Flying Trap is a predatory plant that lures insects with its vibrant, sticky leaves. Once prey is ensnared, it uses its thirst roots to drain the life from its victims, while its leaves remain surprisingly edible for those brave enough to wash them thoroughly.

Actions

Entangling Mucus

The Flying Teap can shoot a glob of sticky mucus at a target within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or become restrained until the end of its next turn.

Seed Shot

When threatened, the Flying Teap can launch a barrage of seeds in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 1d8 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

Thirst Roots

If an insect is trapped in its leaves, the Flying Teap can use its roots to drain life. The target must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, taking 2d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
