A towering 8-foot tall man with a physique like a titan, Bjornulf has weatherworn skin the color of smoked ash, massive arms, and a chest that could serve as a drum of war. His long, wild mane of black and brown hair is knotted with bones and feathers, and his deep-set eyes are icy blue and pale gray. He wears a bear hide pelt draped over his shoulders, with torn fur-lined trousers and direwolf hide boots. His greataxe, forged from rusted metal, and a jagged dagger made from a cave bear's fang complete his fearsome appearance. With him he has his animal companion Hel, a black fur Direbear that is 6 feet tall at the shoulder, Hel is blind and the companion has numerous scars on his face giving him a menacing look.

Bjornulf embodies untamed chaos, a primal force of instinct and rage with a strange nobility buried deep within. He speaks in a low, gravelly voice, often poetic in a twisted way, and views civilization as a weak construct. He relishes combat, laughing in the face of danger, and believes in the freedom of the strong. While he sees most as prey, he respects those who fight fiercely and survive against the odds, occasionally revealing glimpses of a noble past he cannot fully grasp. He is extremely smart but rarely shows it. And he loves music and has a singing voice as if gifted from Odin himself. If he deems you a friend he is fiercely loyal and protective.

Bjornulf was born in the wilds, raised by the untamed forces of nature rather than by men. His early years were spent wrestling with beasts and surviving the harsh elements, earning him the scars and trophies that adorn his body. He has no memory of a noble upbringing, but echoes of a forgotten legacy sometimes surface in his actions. He roams the lands, seeking challenges and reveling in the chaos of battle, driven by an instinctual need to assert his dominance over the world around him.
