Aspiring to join the Jedi Order, he found his path blocked as the Jedi had been driven underground following the Massacre at Ossus. Undeterred, Varrik forged his own sword and became the guardian of his village, defending it against threats like the barbaric Schor-Goya raiders. His commitment to protecting his people and his adherence to Jedi principles earned him respect and admiration. Recognizing his potential, the Imperial Knights recruited him into their ranks.
