The Great Pit of Carkoon is a vast, gaping maw in the heart of a desolate desert, surrounded by jagged rocks and treacherous terrain. At its center lies the infamous Sarlaac, a monstrous creature that slowly digests its prey over a millennium, while its belly secretes a potent enzyme that grants unnaturally extended life to those unfortunate enough to be consumed. Nearby the remains of Jabba's sailbarge can still be found, where Jabba met his end, 15 years ago at the hands of Leia Organa, then subsequently Luke blew up the barge. Most of the usuable things have long been scavanged by Jawas.
