Jarlaxle was born to Yvonnel Baenre, matron mother of House Baenre, in Menzoberranzan. He was destined for sacrifice to Lolth, but the attempt failed, leading to a life of intrigue and manipulation. He founded the mercenary band Bregan D'aerthe, becoming a powerful figure in the Underdark and later the surface world. Known for his charm and cunning, he navigated the treacherous politics of drow society while seeking adventure and profit. Jarlaxle's life is marked by his relationships with notable figures like Drizzt Do'Urden and Artemis Entreri, as well as his quest for personal exploration and knowledge.
