King Thalanor Viridane is the last crowned sovereign of the elves, ruling the hidden city of Woodword. He was crowned long before the fall of Gru's magic and has guided his people through centuries of retreat and ruin. His mastery over nature magic is unmatched, and his life is believed to be bound to the great Woodword Tree. Despite his serene demeanor, he is pragmatic and willing to take harsh actions to protect his people and the forest. He seeks emissaries to influence Gru beyond the forest, searches for artifacts to reawaken the Woodword Tree's magic, and may consider pacts with former enemies if magic collapses entirely.
