A famous library-fortress. It houses the greatest collection of writings in all of Faerûn.
The fortress features scores of towers of varying heights and styles, with its skyline rising high above the coast, enclosed within formidable 15 meter tall walls of stone and iron. Its numerous towers ascend into the skies, creating a unique silhouette against the coastal sea. The main entrance is marked by enormous double gates, three times as tall as a man, forged from a strange black metal and adorned with the sigil of Candlekeep. Beyond the gates lies the Court of Air, a vast cobblestone courtyard surrounded by establishments catering to visitors and seekers of knowledge. To gain entry, a petitioner had to present the seal of a renowned wizard, as well as an entrance-gift to the library, a tome of immense value, great rarity or significant historical importance to add to their collection.
