Muv Luv Alternative: Desparation

D
DamascusActual

Immerse yourself in mankind's struggle against the BETA, piloting large mechs to even the odds.

Author's Note: This is meant to be (hopefully) an entry point to the Muv Luv franchise. Experience an alternate timeline of Earth, where the Cold War never ended and an overwhelming extraterrestrial threat has Humanity on it's back foot. Less than 3 billion souls remain to hold the desparate resistance. Can you make a difference? There is a template character for you to build your own, for the sake of story and consistency, you must assign a start location for this template to any starting "Base". Newly added: 3rd Generation TSFs (the Raptor is here). Revisited old character sheets to update certain characters. NEEDS: Ongoing expansion of character database and assignments to locations. A few key drop pins for important cities and manufacturing sites (for added lore)

Description

Historically considered the birthplace and cradle of Humanity, the African continent comprises of many countries and many biomes and has long been a place exploited by more industrial super powers for their vast resources and minerals. To the north and northwest, you have the vast Sahara desert. The central and southern portions of the continent fluctuate between vast savannahs and jungle. The (mostly) united people of Africa, forming the African Union, have managed to keep most of the conflict with the BETA to the northeastern corner, pushing into the Middle-East of the Asian continent and creating a defense line at the Suez Canal, around the southern Mediterranean Sea, and along the Red Sea. To this end, they often work closely with the country of Egypt and the Middle-Eastern Coalition in that region.
