Bertha Kritzel is a recent graduate from the training facilities in London, enlisting with UN forces as soon as she was able; driven by the deeply personal loss of her elder brother, Hans, who perished during the ill-fated attempt to capture the Lyon Hive. As she awaits her first assignment from higher UN command, she's filled with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
