  • Late 1999
    - To serve as the headquarters of @Alternative IV, construction of a @United Nations military base at the site of Yokohama Hive is requested by Dr. @Yuuko Kouzuki. The UN immediately approves the plan as a form of opposition against the USA's advocacy of G-Bombs. UN military command would later order the immediate withdrawal of US armed forces from the area at the commencement of construction of the new @Yokohama Base.
    - Reconstruction work on defensive systems begins in previously-occupied Western @Empire of Japan, along with the large-scale intake and reception of COSEAN and UN military forces.
    - December: Construction begins on the @Yokohama Base. The original Hive structure is left intact to facilitate further research on the BETA.
    - @The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) first deploys the @Su-47 Berkut, an experimental enhancement of Sufoni Design Bureau's independently-developed @Su-37 Terminator.
    - Boening's TSF development division begins the Pheonix Initiative, a low-cost upgrade plan to move the @F-15 Eagle to 3rd generation standards through mechanical modernization.
    - @The United States of America (USA) deploys the 3rd-generation amphibious A-12 Avenger, a new Tactical Surface Attacker to replace the @A-6 Intruder and eventually the @A-10 Thunderbolt II.

  • 2000
    - The construction of the @Verkhoyansk Hive, Objective 25 and the @Evensk Hive, Objective 26 begin in their respective Soviet territories. To halt the BETA invasion of @Kamchatka Defense Line, the Soviets, in conjunction with the @United Nations Far East forces, launch a large-scale counteroffensive operation against the BETA. The @Empire of Japan's Navy also participated as part of the UN Far East Fleet in this operation.
    - January: The section of @Yokohama Base dedicated to the hosting of @Alternative IV is completed; the Alt. IV research institute is moved from the Imperial University into @Yokohama Base, Sublevel B13, along with the 207th Training Unit, which was previously temporarily relocated to the IJA Nerima Garrison.
    - May: The @EF-2000 Typhoon is first deployed in actual combat by the British Army and the @United Nations European Region military. As part of defensive strategy, the West German Army's Cerberus Battalion is prioritized as the first UN unit to deploy the Typhoon.
    - @United Nations personnel in support of @Allegiance release various data as well as photographs of a G-bomb blast epicenter. Arguments and apprehension over the dangers posed by the G-Bombs erupt within the Congress of @The United States of America (USA), which had previously been comprised mainly of @Anti-Alternative Faction members and supporters of Alternative V. Lockweed Mardin, which had fallen behind in TSF development due to the development of G-Bombs, manages to gain influence in Congress, attracting the attention of Alt. V detractors even as it sought to get closer to those with links to @Alternative IV.
    - A third movement that supports neither @Alternative IV nor V emerges from the groups questioning the viability of Alternative V. This movement, clashing with both groups of Alternative Plan supporters behind the scenes, is wholly opposed to the use of BETA-derived technology, instead placing all their support behind Project PROMINENCE in the hopes of an eventual assault on the @Kashgar Hive, Objective 01.
    - The @Empire of Japan-America Joint Tactical Surface Fighter Development Program, the XFJ Program, the plan to modify the @Type-94 Shiranui, is approved by the Imperial Diet, as part of a plan to obtain cutting-edge TSF technology from the USA. With the @F-4 Phantom approaching the end of its service life, the debate concerning the selection of the next TSF to replace it becomes complicated. An official point of compromise is reached in the adoption of the Japan-America joint development plan proposed by Lieutenant Colonel @Eiji Iwaya, using the official stance of joint development to raise the standard of Japanese development technology as a guise for its second purpose, to obtain as many of the United States' latest technologies as they can get away with. Meanwhile, in the @United States of America (USA), as a result of Boening's vigorous lobbying, they receive the contract for the XFJ Program, successfully win over the @Anti-Alternative Faction, and are approved of by Congress.
    - The @Empire of Japan's Imperial Royal Guard deploys its first true domestically-developed 3rd-generation Tactical Surface Fighter, the @Type-00 Takemikazuki, jointly developed by Fugaku Heavy Industries and Onda.
    - A formal exchange program is orchestrated between the @European Union and the @Empire of Japan, a chance for small numbers of members of the Japanese Royal Guard to mingle and learn with European elites, nobles from affluent families, training as pilots in the BETA War. Based in Dover Base, in the @United Kingdom, exchange training is sporadic in occurance, but consistantly run a 10-day schedule for the duration of the training.

  • 2001
    - The UN @Yokohama Base commences operations. Though only 70% complete, main base functions had achieved more or less 100% operational status, full opening is authorized. Construction of the incomplete sections continue.
    - Dr. @Yuuko Kouzuki confers with a delegation, comprised of political and business members, from the pro-Alternative faction in the United States, in order to set up a framework of support for Alternative IV. At the same time, @Sakon Yoroi of the Imperial Ministry of Information, Foreign Affairs Section Two, also contacts pro-Alternative IV UN members.
    - February: A force of BETA make landfall at Niigata in the @Empire of Japan.
    - March 14: @The United States of America (USA)'s Army begins domestic deployment of the @F-22A Raptor.
    - Professor @Yuuko Kouzuki and @Alternative IV executives put forth a formal request for the requisition of the HI-MAERF project. The transfer of all XG-series units are approved of in US Congress by a small margin, and the transfer of all unit airframes and development staff was made immediate by a presidential order. The transfer of the XG-series to Alternative IV further intensifies the confrontation between @United Nations officials supporting either one of the two Alternative Plan factions.
    - May: The XFJ Program begins its work at @Yukon Base.
    - @The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) first deploys the Su-47E, a two-seater @Su-47 Berkut, as a test frame at @Yukon Base to demonstrate the capabilities of @Human ESPer in a TSF designed to capitalize on the Prafka and Nastroyka Effect phenomena exhibited by such pilots.
