• Late 2001
  - August: BETA invade the eastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula. Successful test firing of the EML-99X Electromagnetic Induction Laucher earns 2nd Lt. @Yuuya Bridges the highest number of enemy kills on a first sortie in history. Complications with the weapon afterwards have a direct effect on both the XFJ Program and later events.
  - August 19: Ц-04 Frontline Supply Base Incident.
  - In light of the appearance of @BETA - Laser Class during the conflict, the re-classification of the @Evensk Hive, Objective 26 Phase rating is considered.
  - August 28: The XFJ-01a Shiranui Second is unveiled. Development on the units of the XFJ Program continues.
  - September 21: The Yukon Base Incident, a large-scale terrorist attack on the UN @Yukon Base in Alaska (later referred to as the "day of infamy") is jointly carried out by the armed paramilitary group @Allegiance and the @Refugee Liberation Front (RLF), the goal of the attack being to force UN, US, and Soviet authorities to capitulate to their demands for non-conditional acceptance of refugees from the frontlines, as well as awarding them the right to vote. US Air Force units were involved in combat against BETA released from the base's research facilities, including @BETA - Laser Class. The conflict was eventually resolved by a combination of armed resistance from escaped Project PROMINENCE test flight teams and counter-terror tactics from US and Soviet special forces. The fighting done during the incident was noted to have been the most major armed conflict in the region since the nuclear bombardment of the second Hive landing unit in Athabasca.
  - October 22: @Takeru Shirogane arrives at @Yokohama Base.
