Rays of Ruin

A horrific monstrosity formed from clotted blood and dirt. Its body lacks eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, moving with a disturbing sentience. Greasy locks of hair obscure its faceless visage, and a heart-shaped hole in its chest oozes blood endlessly. The Shadowcast’s silent and stealthy movements allow it to navigate tight spaces and camouflage itself when motionless.

Despite its terrifying appearance, the Shadowcast yearns for connection and understanding. It is often misunderstood and lashes out violently when its attempts to communicate are met with fear. Driven by a malevolent force, yet capable of moments of sadness and longing, the creature embodies the struggle between its chaotic nature and its deep-seated desire for companionship.

The Shadowcast was born from a horrific event, its body formed from the twisted remnants of life and bloodshed. With a heart-shaped hole that constantly oozes blood, it haunts the school hallways, drawn to the chaotic energies of the Prismatic Meteor. Its tragic existence is fueled by a deep desire for companionship, but its monstrous form incites fear and aggression in those it encounters. Once killed, it emerges into it's true form, the Shadebringer.
