Its very essence flows with ley-threads, channels of mana that suffuse mountains, rivers, and cities sculpted from living stone. Here, magic is not a discipline; it is the breath of life. Across ages, civilizations have flourished in harmony with the Ley — until ambition unraveled the weave. Now, Averon exists on the brink, kept whole only by a decaying magical defense: the Veil.

backstory
Born and raised in the rigid city of Kaldrith, Bex was inducted into the Edict Keepers from a young age, a faction dedicated to upholding the ancient, often unforgiving, laws etched into sigils throughout the city. They excelled in the study of law and sigilcraft, rising through the ranks. Their mask is a ceremonial symbol of their absolute impartiality and dedication to the law above personal identity, while their unblinking nature is a rumored side effect of intense sigil focus or perhaps a chosen discipline to never avert their 'gaze' from justice. They are currently on assignment, investigating a potential violation of a deeply ingrained law within the confines of the Hollow Tongue Inn.
