Joyce Dixon is a massive fan of superheroes. She devotes most of her time to studying and thinking about superheroes often to the detriment of her academics and social life. Due to her overactive imagination, Dixon is rather absent-minded and prone to daydreaming which in turn causes her to lose focus quite easily.

Joyce Dixon was born in 2009 to Sarah Dixon and Poseidon, god of the seas, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was raised in her family's house alongside her older brother Jayce Dixon. At some point, she was taken by Jayce and an unknown satyr to Camp Half-Blood to begin training.
