Eudora was described as having flowing black hair, distractingly beautiful eyes, and wearing a dress of green silk. She has oysters in her curled, gray hair and wears bottle glasses. Her dress shimmers like a jellyfish membrane. One of the oysters in her hair can act like a telephone, allowing Eudora to communicate with Poseidon.

Eudora appears to be a fairly serious person, completing her allocated tasks to the best of her abilities, although she can also be a bit excitable. As the Nereid of gifts from the sea, Eudora enjoys helping people.

Eudora is one of the fifty Nereids, specifically being the Nereid of gifts from the sea. Eudora was once the admissions director and counselor for Hecate's magic school before she shut it down in 1914. The school was Eudora's idea to help both perspective talented students and the lonely goddess of magic. However, she has helped Percy Jackson get his letter of recommendations for college at New Rome.
