Appearance

Skorpius has an imposing, elongated body covered in glossy, obsidian-black shell segments. Its pincers are large and intimidating, clad in sharp, serrated edges, while its long, segmented tail ends in a deadly stinger that glows with a faint, eerie luminescence. The creature possesses eight powerful legs that allow it to scuttle quickly against any terrain.

Actions

Burrow and Ambush

Skorpius burrows into the ground and can emerge at any point within 60 feet of its current location. The first target it strikes after emerging is automatically surprised.

Pincer Attack

Makes two attacks with its pincer. Each attack deals 2d10 + 5 slashing damage on a hit, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be grappled.

Stinger Strike

The Skorpius can make a stinger attack that deals 3d10 piercing damage on a hit. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute.
