Phoenix
Large Monstrosity - CR 10
The Phoenix is a legendary, fire-wreathed bird that cycles through life, death, and rebirth. It is both a symbol of resilience and a formidable foe, known to be reborn from its ashes every 500 years. Its appearance shimmers with brilliant hues of red and gold, with feathers that seem to flicker like flames. As it soars through the sky, it leaves a trail of sparkling embers in its wake.

Appearance
The Phoenix stands about 15 feet tall with a wingspan of 30 feet. Its feathers are vibrant and glowing, resembling molten gold and crimson flames, and its eyes shine like molten amber. Its beak is sharp and curved, resembling that of a predatory bird.
Actions
Ember Flight
The Phoenix can choose to leave a trail of embers in its wake. Any creature that starts its turn in the trail takes 10 (3d6) fire damage.
Fire Breath
The Phoenix exhales a torrent of fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Rebirth
When the Phoenix is reduced to 0 hit points, it crumbles into ashes. After 24 hours, it is reborn from those ashes, at full health.
