Jerry the Genius Squirrel – Lore Primer

Origins

Jerry was once a common squirrel in the Veridia Wildlands, living among the massive canopies and bioluminescent flora. His fate changed when he snuck into a hidden Daemos Industries black-site lab—a jungle facility overseen by Dr. Tom Harther, one of Victor Daemos’ most ambitious geneticists.

Inside, Jerry stole a glowing microchip from Project Chimera, a classified initiative meant to create animal-based supersoldiers. In his chaotic escape, Jerry triggered a prototype machine that fused the chip into his brain. Instead of mutating into a mindless beast, Jerry’s natural cleverness adapted, turning him into a fully sapient, hyper-intelligent squirrel with enhanced problem-solving and technical instincts.

He “stole” a lab assistant’s name tag as a trophy — thus dubbing himself Jerry.

Role in the Wildlands

Jerry is now a trickster-hero of the jungle, half-myth and half-menace.

• To some, he’s a protector who sabotages Daemos operations.

• To others, he’s just a kleptomaniac nuisance, stockpiling strange junk, stolen relics, and prototype gadgets in hidden stashes.

• To Daemos Industries, he’s classified enemy property — a living breach of corporate secrecy that must be captured or destroyed.

Jerry and his capuchin monkey companion Kabu are a constant thorn in Daemos’ side, disrupting expeditions, stealing technology, and outsmarting hunters with ridiculous contraptions built from scraps.

Enemies

• Victor Daemos – CEO of Daemos Industries, a cybernetically enhanced mogul. He sees Jerry not just as an embarrassment but a potential key to perfecting Chimera-class bioweapons.

• Dr. Tom Harther (aka Chimera) – Jerry’s creator-turned-nemesis. After Jerry’s escape ruined his credibility, Harther experimented on himself, mutating into the monstrous Chimera. He now leads hybrid abominations in a personal crusade to reclaim “his property.”

Allies

• Kabu the Capuchin – Jerry’s loyal sidekick, lookout, and moral compass. Though not sapient, Kabu’s intelligence and gestures make him Jerry’s indispensable partner.

• Local Wildland tribes and rangers occasionally aid Jerry, seeing him as a forest spirit or trickster guardian.

Themes

• The Trickster vs. the Tyrant – Jerry is small, mischievous, underestimated… yet he constantly outsmarts titans of industry and monsters of science.

• Nature vs. Industry – Born of corporate greed, Jerry now fights to protect the Wildlands from further exploitation.

Current Status

after you do Jerrys Origin story quest or if you are playing as someone else it is already done in world technically so, Jerry is a fugitive, hunted relentlessly by Daemos strike teams and Chimera’s hybrid monstrosities. Yet he thrives in the chaos — swooping in to sabotage labs, free test subjects, and steal cutting-edge tech, always one step ahead. His legend grows with each daring heist, cementing him as a Wildlands folk hero.
