Robert Murphy
Lore Primer: Robert Murphy
The Beginning
Robert Murphy was never meant to exist in this world. His mother, the daughter of Tim and Harriet Murphy, worked as a researcher at Draemos Industries. Her brilliance led her to uncover traces of the Javor Galaxy — a place where twin suns twisted reality and birthed a race adapted to crushing gravity.
Her obsession became destiny when she opened a single-use portal to Javor. On the other side, she met a Javoran explorer, a being of strength and density unlike anything Earth had known. Against all odds, the two fell in love. Knowing Draemos’ hunger for power, she kept their union a secret, carrying Robert in silence.
The Flight
When Victor Draemos discovered her research, she knew his curiosity would turn lethal if he ever found Robert’s father. Fearing for their child, she hid the truth from him and the world. Before Draemos’ men could close in, she entrusted her newborn son to her parents, Tim and Harriet Murphy of Maple Hollow — the only people she knew could protect him.
That same night, she vanished, later killed by assassins hired by Draemos. He never learned that the experiment he coveted had left him a living legacy.
The Secret Child
Robert was raised on the Murphy farm, his alien heritage hidden beneath the rhythms of small-town life. Tim taught him discipline, Harriet gave him warmth, and the land itself taught him restraint. Though whispers spread of the boy’s unnatural strength, the truth of his origin was buried — known only to his grandparents, locked away as a promise to their lost daughter.
To the town, Robert Murphy was simply “the Murphy boy,” quiet, intimidating, and a little strange. But in truth, he was the last echo of a Javoran explorer and the hidden heir to a legacy born between galaxies.
