The Proven

The Proven are the gods of the Lowki Multiverse, dwelling in the radiant heart of the Heav Galaxy. They are not omnipotent, not eternal by nature, but ascended beings who crossed thresholds mortals cannot fathom. Their title — Proven — reflects the belief that to reach Heav is to prove one’s existence has cosmic weight.

Paths of Ascension

  1. Mortal Ascension (Rarest Path)

    • A mortal achieves such spiritual or intellectual transcendence that their spark is drawn into the Diamond Heart of Heav.

    • Rarer than rare — across all recorded history, only a handful of mortals ever rose this way.

    • These figures often become myths, folktales, or moral anchors for civilizations. Their divinity is born from insight, horror, or sheer willpower.

Example: The Death God — once a human monk/philosopher living in the age of Saint Estes. A genius, but also a sadist, who combined meditations on suffering with acts of ritual cruelty. Children’s stories paint him as “the man who smiled at every death,” a sort of Buddha-meets-Hannibal Lecter. He ascended into the Proven of Death — but his dominion falters now, because he fears Lazarus Kane.

  1. Collective Praise / Religion (Cultural Path)

    • When enough mortals across worlds believe, worship, or invoke someone’s name, the echo crystallizes in Heav.

    • This belief fuels a mantle — the mortal may already be dead, or their myth may outgrow the person entirely.

    • These Proven embody ideas shaped by cultures, not individual will.

Example: Saint Estes — not just a man, but a living religion. His faith crystallized into Provenhood, ensuring his essence in Heav as the Eternal Flame of Resistance. On Nova Prime, he’s remembered as savior; elsewhere, as a fiery conqueror.

  1. Blood of Titans (The Inherited Path)

    • The most common path. Descendants of primordial beings (dragons, titans, giants, or other ancients) carry bloodlines strong enough to “ignite” into Provenhood.

    • These Proven are born to inherit divine resonance rather than earn it.

    • Most of the Broodspawn Ancients could ascend this way if their sparks weren’t corrupted.

Example: Ember Crown’s direct heirs, Storm Sovereign’s bloodlines, and others birthed in the same primordial eruptions as dragons.

The Death God (Proven of Silence)

  • Appearance: Once a gaunt human monk. Now a skeletal figure draped in living shadow, with an eternal smile carved across his face. His eyes are bottomless, reflecting all the deaths he has ever witnessed.

  • Role: Oversees death itself — ensuring souls pass on, preventing necromancy from shattering the balance. His voice is in every whisper at the moment of dying.

  • Flaw: Paralyzed by fear of Lazarus Kane, the mortal who “beat death.” To the Death God, Kane is not a man but his replacement — the proof he has failed.

  • Children’s Story on Nova Prime:

“Beware the Smiling Monk. If you do wrong, he’ll come with his cup. He’ll drink your life and laugh. If you see his shadow, hide under the blankets. Blankets fool him — he hates warmth.”
(Used by parents to scare kids into obedience.)

Lazarus Kane — The Man Who Beat Death

  • Though not ascended into Provenhood (yet), Kane exists in direct opposition to the Death God.

  • Every failed execution, every smirk in the face of death, widened the Death God’s doubt.

  • In cosmic terms: Kane isn’t immortal. He’s an error — a gap in the Death God’s order, a soul the Diamond Heart refuses to claim.

  • To mortals, he’s a gang-boss-turned-boogeyman. To gods, he’s a cosmic paradox.

The Proven in Myth Across Universes

  • Nova Prime: They’re worshipped as saints or monsters.

  • Orion Galaxy: Seen as celestial architects — the “First Navigators.”

  • Pixikata: The Solari reinterpret them as “Facets of the Diamond,” higher siblings of their own Trials.

  • Heav: The Proven are a fractured pantheon. Some rule domains, others wander the Diamond Heart endlessly, reshaping their myth.
