Deep Space Nine is a space station near the planet Bajor, built by the imperialistic Cardassians during their long, brutal occupation of Bajor. After liberating themselves through a guerrilla war, the Bajorans invite the United Federation of Planets to jointly administer the station. The station is renamed Deep Space Nine, and a mixed Starfleet and Bajoran crew is assigned to manage it, led by Commander Benjamin Sisko. Set in the run-up to the Dominion War, Stardate 49962, roughly the year 2372.

Description
A medium sized stealth ship known for its ruthless tactics and advanced technology. Often employed by space pirates or clandestine factions who stalk the more isolated trade lanes, this vessel is equipped with stealth fields that allow it to approach unsuspecting targets undetected, and it can teleport an assault team of up to 6 individuals aboard if the target's shields are down. The captain may issue demands for surrender pressuring their target ship to give up cargo or important passengers. Like all starships they are equipped with energy shields that prevent damage or hostile boarding via teleporter. They are equipped with replicators, life support systems, and teleporters to make sure its crew is well supported. The names of the ship, crew, and Captain vary from ship to ship. It is possible to board this ship via teleporter to steal cargo, take passengers and crew hostage, liberate captives, or take over the ship. It is possible to negotiate with the captain.
