Fantasy
Wage war, forge empires, and uncover the secrets of the Elves who first shaped Tamriel’s fate.
Author's Note: Welcome to Tamriel: Origins, a deep-time Elder Scrolls campaign set long before the Empire, before the Septims, and even before written history. This world is rooted in the Middle to Late Merethic Era, a time of mythic wars, divine architecture, and rising Elven empires.
In this setting, the Ayleids, Chimer, Dwemer, Falmer, Maormer, and more vie for power across a still-young Tamriel. Great Towers are constructed to shape reality. Daedric cults walk openly among mortal races. And the borders between gods and kings blur with every passing century.
This campaign is built on strictly canonical Elder Scrolls lore, reconstructed from in-game texts like Before the Ages of Man, The Annotated Anuad, and The Monomyth. Some areas from later eras have been rewritten to reflect their ancient origins—or replaced entirely.
Explore vast wildernesses, witness the founding of civilizations, and decide which myths survive into legend.

appearance
Tall and willowy, Vilor wears a pristine ivory robe trimmed with indigo sigils of Meridia. Their flaxen hair is braided around a circlet inset with a thumbnail-sized Welkynd gem that pulses in time with their heartbeat. Silver gloves protect slender hands as they trace rune-lines on crystal pylons. A leather belt pouch holds tuning forks and a scroll of lamp hymns.
personality
Disciplined, contemplative, loyal to ritual. Prizes order and precision, yet harbors quiet compassion, slipping spare rations to exhausted Nedic workers. Respects Aerinwe’s brilliance but worries her trade in scrap crystals endangers purity. Finds Salen’s pranks exasperating but secretly keeps a book of his jests for stress relief. Values truth; will risk status to prevent relic harm.
backstory
Born to a minor priestly line, Vilor was apprenticed to Magister Aerinwe for their perfect pitch—essential for resonating Welkynd matrices through song. They craft harmonic chants that stabilize the Great Stone’s output, often counterbalancing Salen’s impulsive adjustments. Hook: Vilor suspects illicit tampering after detecting discordant overtones in a storage alcove; they seek discreet help to expose the saboteur without shaming the Order—or igniting Aerinwe’s rivalry with Curator Silmion.
