Description

The Threshold Spire serves as the central hub for Levithal’s arcane gate network—vast teleportation portals that connect the floating city to key locations throughout Velarion. Created through the combined magic of Levithal’s wizards and sorcerers, this system provides instant, reliable transportation that is free and accessible to all, reflecting the city’s values of openness and arcane progress. Travelers from all walks of life pass through its gates daily, arriving in the capital or departing for distant lands. A security checkpoint ensures safe passage into the city proper, where arcane sentinels and enchanted wards protect against threats without impeding the flow of visitors.

Appearance

The Spire rises in elegant curves of white stone, its smooth exterior etched with glowing blue runes that pulse in time with the magical energy within. Positioned near the edge of Levithal’s floating island, the building commands a majestic view of the skies below. Inside, a vast central chamber unfurls beneath a sweeping vaulted ceiling. Enormous rune-carved gates stand in a wide semicircle, their soft, radiant light shifting with each active connection. The floor gleams with polished marble veined with faint sigils, and arcane illumination glows gently from embedded crystals. Despite its grandeur, the space is alive with movement—an ever-turning wheel of travel, magic, and purpose.
