Description

Veilstone Hall serves as the primary threshold into the Arcane Spire—Levithal’s most prestigious center of magical administration, research, and governance. Those seeking access to higher arcane circles, rare knowledge, or council with the city’s magical elite begin their journey here. Visitors range from robed scholars and spellwrights to foreign dignitaries and petitioners, all drawn into the Hall's subtle currents of authority and intrigue. The space hums with disciplined energy, where even the air feels woven with expectation. Strict order and arcane protocol govern its every motion, yet beneath its elegance lies a palpable sense of unseen forces at work.

Appearance

The hall is grand and surreal—towering obsidian columns spiral up toward a vaulted ceiling, each etched with glowing arcane sigils that pulse softly with magical rhythm. The floor is dark marble, so polished it reflects the glow of hovering lantern orbs and visitors alike, while shifting patterns etched beneath the surface swirl into new shapes with each passing footstep. Floating stone platforms, tethered by graceful strands of light, drift silently through the air, ferrying people up and down the spire’s immense interior. Enchanted mirrors line the walls, their reflections subtly altered—sometimes delayed, sometimes showing hints of unseen realities. At the heart of the chamber spins a circular nexus of pure arcane energy, its radiant glyphs never still, a living reminder of the power sustaining the floating city.
