Alfred is a strange man. He's always been one for adventure and learning. But, especially with old age, he's become very unorthodox in his behavior. He'll occasionally come into a classroom if something catches his attention, sitting down and asking questions about it as though he were a student. He's quite wise. He will occasionally show disregard to the status of the aristocrats who's children he teaches, but managed to get away with it with no hard feelings due to his eccentric reputation as a wise man.
backstory
Alfred Winkle began life as a beger in Plemet city. Whilst most young boys spent the meager money they made on the street on food and clothes, Winkle would often pay any homeless old men he could find to educate him in whatever field they understood. Eventually, he grew up enough to join the Holder's as a medic. He was enlisted for only two years before saving enough money to buy his former equipment and begin exploring the darkness of his own accord. Whilst at first many thought him mad, he always returned from the darkness unscathed, though revealed little of what he found. Once, he even saved a team of Scalpels lost within the darkness on a mission, guiding them safely back. Upon reaching old age, Alfred was offered the job of grandmaster at Plemet Academy, one of the most prestigious human schools. He accepted and, despite his strange mannerisms and unkempt appearance, is a well respected teacher even among the highest level of human aristrocy.
