Earth

The Early Viking Age is a time of raw survival and bold ambition. The world is fractured—no true kings rule all the land, only chieftains and jarls who grasp for power. The Norse are expanding their reach beyond their fjords, testing distant shores for gold, glory, and new gods to conquer. Ships are the veins of power, runes are the language of fate, and warriors are born with one eye on the blade and the other on the afterlife. Daily Life Most people live in longhouses—large communal dwellings made of wood, turf, and thatch. The day begins before dawn: men farm, hunt, fish, or raid, while women oversee households, trade, and practice folk magic. Children are trained young—swordplay, seafaring, and storytelling are all part of growing up. Food is simple and seasonal: stews, bread, smoked fish, ale.
