Description
Jailers are a race of demons robed in dark, tattered vestments that shift and swirl as if alive. With a malevolent presence, they carry horrific fel cages on their backs, which imprison the souls and bodies of their captives. With a terrifying grin and eyes glowing with fiery malice, they revel in their role as tormentors, dragging their prisoners into the depths of the Twisting Nether for unspeakable interrogations.

Capture Soul
The Jailer makes a melee attack against a creature. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or have its soul partially trapped in the Jailer’s cage. The trapped creature cannot regain hit points until it escapes.
Fel Despair
The Jailer unleashes a wave of despair in a 30-foot radius centered on itself. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 16 Charisma saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.
Twisting Nether Rend
The Jailer claws at a target in melee range, dealing 3d8+5 slashing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be incapacitated until the end of its next turn.
