Nightfallen
Medium Humanoid - CR 4
The nightfallen are outcast nightborne elves who have been severed from the rejuvenating energy of the Nightwell. The exile from Suramar City has led them to wither, manifesting physical signs of their withdrawal such as pale skin, sunken eyes, and gaunt frames. They are driven by a desperate thirst for magic to sustain themselves, often becoming erratic and unpredictable.

Appearance

Nightfallen particularly stand out with their thinned faces, sharp features, and sorrowful expressions. Their once vibrant azure skin now bears patches of gray and maroon, illustrating the toll of their separation from the Nightwell. They are often draped in tattered robes and cloaks that whisper of their former elegance, adding to their haunting presence.

Actions

Ethereal Step

The nightfallen can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see as a bonus action. It may then make one melee attack.

Nightwell Drain

The nightfallen reaches out to drain the essence of nearby magical creatures, forcing them to make a Constitution saving throw or suffer 2d8 necrotic damage as the energy is siphoned to the nightfallen.

Swift Strike

With a flash of speed, the nightfallen can make a melee attack with finesse, dealing 1d8 + 4 piercing damage.
