The Darkpens are a foreboding prison complex located deep beneath Black Rook Hold, where remnants of horrific pasts linger within the shadowed halls. Once a place to restrain the foul creatures of the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients, its dark legacy continues under the ruthless command of Lieutenant Desdel Stareye, who enforces heinous torture methods to extract secrets from the imprisoned, including the legendary Maiev Shadowsong and a band of demon hunters; Sirius Ebonwing, Cassiel Nightthorn, Asha Ravensong, and Arduen Soulblade. The air is thick with despair and whispers of the past echo throughout the grim walls.
