Blood Elves, or Sin'dorei, are former high elves who renamed themselves to honor their fallen during the Scourge's siege of Quel'Thalas. They are heavily dependent on magic, suffering withdrawal without it. After the Sunwell's destruction, they turned to demonic fel energies to sate their magical thirst.
